AWANA Awards Night

Johnny playing with Cooper.

Prior to performance.

My effort to try to get them calmed down before going to sing. Futile. Ha!

Our last song time together. Johnny is seated and facing the other way.

Jeff and Kristi have just been awesome leaders this year. Jeff played the guitar each week as he lead the Puggles in song. Fun! See Johnny in the background?

Snack time is a favorite time, naturally.

Robby and Mr. Chad, our children's pastor.

Robby literally rushing across the stage to receive his awards. Ha!

Inside our church where the Awards were given out. Mr. John, one of the Spark leaders, and Mr. Chad are on the stage.

Johnny admiring his medal.

My sweet little Puggle.

Yes, he likes his medal. :)

Robby has a sparkle in his eye. It's a joke.

Robby completed his third year and Johnny his first. Johnny's class had to stand on the platform and sing the Puggles theme song, as well as "Jesus Loves Me." Chaos. Ha! Well, actually the performance went much better than the rehearsal. Johnny was ver proud of his medal. Robby finished one book in Sparks so received a certificate, ribbon, and medal. To celebrate, we took the boys to the putt-putt course. Both made a hole-in-one!

Ready for Church

New Favorite

I wrote in an earlier post that Robby's favorite card game is now "Uno." We are having so much fun playing this with him.

Mommy's Little Helpers

Robby (along with Johnny) learned how to do laundry today and loved it. I did too! Ha! I had to laugh when bedtime rolled around and he said, "Can I do more laundry tomorrow?" Well, yes!!!

Art

Robby made this mobile after following directions in the back of one of his kid's magazines.
Johnny said this is a picture of a rat named Baby. :) Ok, use your imagination and you'll see it!

Robby drew this. It's a . . . rabbit. :)

Hand Update

Hurrah, Dr. Lee gave the go-ahead for removing my cast! The sight and stench weren't too bad after all. Ha! Dry skin, yes. Redness and swelling, yes. Stiffness and immobility, definitely! Hopefully, I'll be able to move my little finger again following therapy. The fracture has almost healed, thank You, Lord! But for now, my fingers are stuck in this odd position.

Luxuries

Reading class . . . out on the back porch.
Robby reads a lot every day. This is a school book that Nana used years and years ago in Decherd. Mostly, he reads books from the public library where we go every Tuesday.

Snack time!!

Johnny has it rough. He goes out to play with Emma & Joey, comes in to play, and just participates in "school" whenever he wants. Ha! He's actually learned quite a bit this year, but we are focusing on enjoying being two!
Robby waving to Johnny in the back yard. The porch really is a good place to do a lot of school work since I can watch Johnny, i.e. let him enjoy playing in the yard while Robby is in with me.

Comfortable, Bobby?

Robby's favorite game, lately, is Crazy Eights, which Johnny calls, Azy Greats. I bought UNO cards the other day, so now that's Robby's favorite game. Here bobby is reading game rules to refresh his memory. Didn't help: he lost the first three games. Ha!

Great Visit

We so enjoyed having Floyd & Elodia visit us!! We love them dearly. Years age, Robby gave Elodia the name "Lodi" because he couldn't pronounce her name. During this visit, Johnny gave Floyd a nickname because he couldn't remember his real name. So, Elodia and Floyd are now Lodi and Florida. :)

Cool Craft

Nana gave each of the boys a magazine subscription for Christmas. We love reading them cover to cover and doing the food craft, as well as paper craft (as seen above.)

Pride Comes Before a Fall

Let's see, how old am I? Evidently too old to play tag! I fell while foolishly trying to dodge out of the way of being tagged. Ha! One broken finger later, this is how my hand looks.

STILL ALIVE

Did you know we have two new family members? This is Joey.

Sweet Emma. These dogs are precious and are so good and gentle with Robby & Johnny.

Johnny loves "reading" his Bible.

Robby actually can and does read his Bible. He's a great reader.

Although we didn't color eggs, hunt for eggs, and/or prepare Easter baskets this year, somehow the Easter bunny managed to find his way to our house.
