Blast Off!!

That's all, folks! We couldn't believe it, but the shuttle completely disappeared into the thick blanket of clouds and was not visible again. The crowd dispersed in silence. Ha!

Into the clouds. Certainly it will reappear.

Wow!!!! Blast off was amazing!

You'll have to trust me on this since you can't really tell from this picture. Ha! This is the shuttle on the launch pad. We were across the water (approximately 10 miles away.)

Ok, this is too funny. Bobby always makes fun of guys that wear their hats backward and yet here he is . . .!!! We left the beach around 9:30ish Monday evening, drove an hour + to Titusville, and parked the van to sit and wait for the 2:28 A.M. launch on Tuesday. This, supposedly, is the last nighttime shuttle launch.
