Fisherman in Training

Johnny inherited Robby's former fishing pole. It has a yellow rubber fish at the end of the line and no hook, of course. Johnny thought he was really fishing, so each time I helped him reel in his line he thought he caught another fish! :)

"Dear God, please help me catch a fish today!"

"I think I got one!!"

"Rats. This line is all tangled up now."

Something's Fishy

New fishing pole and tackle box in tow, Robby is heading to Chickamauga Lake to fish.

Robby didn't catch a fish today, but he sure enjoyed the outing!

May 12th

While at Riverpark for Robby's birthday party with his friends, the wind was blowing just enough to keep the candles extinguished. :) So, on his actual birthday, while eating leftover birthday cake, Robby enjoyed blowing out this candle on his piece of cake. Of course, Johnny wanted a candle on his piece too!

Birthday boy at bat

This is the ball and mitt we gave to Robby for his birthday. Every day now we have batting practice and then throw the ball back and forth. Being a Mommy is just loads of fun!

Funny face five year old. While riding bikes today, I said to Robby, "How does it feel to be five?" He said, "I don't feel five. I feel like I'm still four!" Ha!

Cubbie Award Night

Bradley and Robby completed their second year of AWANA Cubbies. Of course their siblings, Lindy and Johnny, attended the award dinner to cheer for them when they received their ribbons and certificates.

This is our Cubbie class on Sunday evenings, 6:00 - 7:45 P.M. Sarah Beth is the only one missing from the picture.

Congratulations, guys, and praise the Lord that you are memorizing His Word!!

Birthday Bash at Riverpark

Today was Robby's 5th birthday party. He celebrated with his friends at Riverpark. (Left to right: Chandler, Ben, Luke, Robby, Johnny, and Bradley.) We had such fun! Thankfully, the overcast sky prevented us from being too hot. What a blessing! Plus, Bobby, who arrived early with Johnny, found a picnic table (the last one!) right beside the water, so we enjoyed a nice breeze.

Have you heard of "Pin the Tail on the Donkey"? Well, this version of the game is called, "Pin the Spur on the Boot." Ha! I promise I did not rig the game in anyway, but Robby placed his spur right on the heel.

I love this shot of Robby aiming Ben's gun at, hmmm, not sure who or what.

Off to the playground!

Jackson Bakery cake is always delicious!

Robby's badge, hat, and boots. The funny thing is that it is not just party theme items. He wears these all the time! :)

"Thank You, Lord, for precious friends and a fun day with them."

Menu: hotdogs, chips, punch, cake, and ice cream. Poor Steve and Jeff, who brought Chandler and Ben, had to endure the delicious smell of ribs, steak, and chicken grilling all around us while they ate hotdogs with us. Ha!

"Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Robby, happy birthday to you."

I think he likes it.

Gift from Mommy, Daddy, and Johnny.

"Just what I wanted!" Baseball helmet, glove, ball, and bat.

What a crew! :)

Puddles

The boys love to wade through puddles after the rain. I remember as a child that I did the same thing. However, I loved to wade in mud puddles with bare feet!

Bobcat Boys

The job foreman

"Can you turn the volume down a bit?"

"Ok, I'll do it myself!"

I just had to include this picture. Free advertisement for our precious friends, Jason and Gretchen. :)

Johnny is really getting the "look" of a construction worker.

The buyers didn't want the playground, so this is what the yard looks like . . . minus the playset. Yuk!

Bobby to the rescue . . . with Robby onboard.

Looks like hard, messy work. It is!

Ahh, but this is Robby's dream come true: mud, shovel, and helping Daddy.

Whoa!
